We've updated our cost of ownership analysis and rankings for over 250 vehicles. Prices remain elevated for both used and new vehicles as dealer inventories are still quite low in most areas. Insurance costs have risen slightly as pandemic-related driving restrictions have eased. These calculations take factor in all major expenses related to owning a vehicle: depreciation, maintenance, insurance, loan interest and fuel. Here are some of the best in each category:
